Regenerative breaks issues

Just curious if anyone experiences sudden failures in their regenerative breaks? Ever once in awhile when I let the gas go I can feel the regenerative breaks kick in for a second, and then it seems to suddenly release and I’m jolted forward and need to apply the manual break.

What's the ambient temperature like when it happens?

It doesn't happen all the time... I would say very rarely but it is a shock when it does happen, and I suddenly start accelerating and I'm accustom to the regenerative breaks slowing me down. I'll pay attention next time when it happens MasterT, but the outside temperature was around the 90's and 80's.

What issues does regenerative break?

This could happen if your battery is fully charged. There is no place for the regenerative electricity to go, so you need to wait until the battery has some unused storage capacity for the regenerative brakes to be functional.

unfortunate I haven't had a full charge, I've pretty much kept it at 80% most of the time except on trips.

Mine seems to do that since the weather cooled down. I also have the little yellow triangle warning. Not all the time but frequently.

Did you hit a bump or pot-hole that would have triggered the traction control to kick in?
