Got an email from Tesla inviting me to upgrade to enhanced autopilot and full self driving - all for only $3,700 + $4,400 = AUD$8,100.

I received the same email, needless to say I said no.
I just can't see it working perfectly here in England. I've been driving my bmw electric i3 with its sensors and adaptive cruise with some clear observations.
Driving sensibly seems to be vanishing, drivers pullout last minute , cruise Instead of continuing to overtake. My adaptive cruise is constantly breaking and then slow to accelerate back to speed, eventually I take over to continue the momentum.
To pay £7000 premium to be chaffered, erratically, is not what I'm after.

I hear you especially now the price has increased again!
You missed a great day, was a bit disappointed with the creaks and groans the x made while driving but James assured me our will be silent. The acceleration was very powerful, not that you need it at all. Wind noise over 100 was also very loud on the demo car. I don't have my autopilot letter yet, do you?
My VIN 281** issued today - about 400 behind many of you. If you have a peek at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/199cAr1qG317t2LeSCPVyoXBSX3Ed9YzI6OwZUljPdFo/htmlview#gid=0 you will see that fastest delivery to the UK on a MS is just over 2 months. Most are just over 3 months leadtime ;-(

Me neither. But i wont buy those upgrades yet.
Not surprised at the road noise, those 2 cars were at the launch and the panel alignment is not good on them as they are early makes. I agree with James, this forum seems to indicate the cars now have much improved panel alignment which would lead to less noise.
There are some advantages of waiting more than 12 months after the rest of the LHD world to get our cars.

Road noise is prevelant because there is no engine noise in the mix

Hey mate, how come the cost in total is $8,100? I'm guessing you must have had AP enabled in your original order?

Coming from Lexus hybrids I have had years of near silent motoring and don't want to go backwards. Apparently our cars will have the quiet tyres, which will help. The acceleration on the 90 was brutal so looking forward to testing the 100!Who would have thought a RHD delivery thread could descend into road noise
Still no sign of production....

Not yet. Was told a couple of weeks ago it was coming last week. Rang today and told it hadn't been sent yet.
Also told that our RHD production was being moved around a bit and not to expect my car before the end of January.

Unfortunately in Australia we are treated more like mushrooms with expected production and delivery dates kept a tightly guarded secret. Even the delivery process guide link on the My Tesla website is broken and goes to a 404 error page.
