Route advice

I will driving from FL to Breckenridge CO, via I-10w then north on I35, which routing would offer better driving and range conditions? I35 north to I 40 west to Amarillo then US 87 to I 25 N to I 70 west. or stay on I35 N to I 70 W?
I am concerned about weather and elevation changes on the first routing.

I would guess that the I35-I70 would be better than I40-I25N - there is a more distance to cover with southern route + plus a nice pass south of Trinidad, CO to I40.
Winds from Trinidad to Colorado Springs can be pretty nasty due to the mountains along there. Be sure to check wind maps for your route (Kansas-eastern CO can be very windy too)

EVTripplanner is showing an extra hour drive and 1 more charge stop needed for I40-I25, it also shows Mobile to Baton Rouge as a toughest leg to make with either route.

thanks for the insight. I can easily make the mobile/baton rouge hop with an almost full charging.
