S70 RWD - Software limited vs. original

I am considering a used 12/2015 S70 RWD which would be the original version with a 70 kWh battery (68,8 kwh usable) since the software limited version (65,9 kWh usable) presumably came in 2016.

I can only find mpg info on EPA on the 2016 S70.

Does anybody have knowledge about the range (real life or official) of the 2015 version compared to the software limited 2016 version. I guess it ought to be slightly better since the usable capacity is a bit higher?

the 2015 RWD S70 spec was 230mi rated range (EPA est).
by comparison a 2015 70D spec is 240mi

found this for you on a archive.org Nov 2015 snapshot of teslamotors.com

Yes, I dont think the EPA range changed. But it does not add up with the difference in usable capacity? And Tesla sometimes manipulate the ratings a bit, so it would be interesting to read the data report behind the 2015 model.

Anyone know the difference between all those hp/tq numbers? for instance the 70 shows both 382 and 315. Are they saying the motor is rated at 382 but because of the battery output, only 315 is available? Then when you move to the 70D the two motors have a combined 518hp but the astriek shows 315. So the combined output of the motors is a possible 518 but the battery can only pump out 315hp worth of electricity?

And looking at those 85D numbers are pretty nice, no wonder they still sell for 60-$80K

2015 S70 RWD @ 18000 miles here. 242 miles rated range at full charge. Actual real-world range for my driving style here in warm Texas matches rated range. Zero range degradation so far. I've briefly charged at 114 Kw.

It seems like the early 70 is one of the best packs they ever put together.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who's (whose) never seen more than 114kw
