Found via FB - details on the Port Wakefield and Snowtown locations:

Weirdly enough I found this when I was searching for more detail on this announcement, which is also in Port Wakefield but apparently not related to the RAA Charge network at all:

24 Seven Charge is coming soon to Port Wakefield!
We're building a Rapid Electric Vehicle Charging Station at Port Wakefield, opening up SA's regions to Electric Vehicle owners and tourists. The chargers will be capable of charging up to 100kW with space for 2 cars and capacity to grow as demand increases.
Located on the Port Wakefield Highway, our Charging Station offers a convenient and safe place to stop and recharge your electric vehicle. Open 24/7, relax and enjoy our fresh cafe food and barista coffee. We also have you covered with essential convenience and grocery items as well as a large range of tasty snacks and drinks! With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and clean amenities, we are not your average Charging Station.
24 Seven is an independent, family operated business. The charging infrastructure is self-funded without assistance from Government and is independent from the RAA charging network.
Watch this space for updates and launch date!

can we all please write to the minister to fix this things before its too late
If you go back to the early posts in this thread (particularly #39) you'll see it was always a combination of Rapid Highway (DC at 50-350kW) and so called Fast Destination (AC at 7 to 22kW) chargers.

Whyalla for example is going to get 2 DC and 4 AC installs. So the pub is just 1/3 of what's due.

I think the use of the term “fast destination” charging is quite misleading, as the vast majority of folk out there will think that means ”fast charging” as in charge for 20-30 mins and be on your way.

I get it that in this context “fast destination” is a relative term and faster than a 10A or 15A socket, but that will be a nuance lost on most.

I suspect some marketing honcho inserted themselves into the media statement and insisted on the word “fast” being used in that context and ignored any complaints that it was inappropriate as coming from stick-in-the-muds who are a handbrake on their marketing brilliance.

Both the RAA and Rocland Charger sites are up and running in Nurioopta(Barossa)
RAA is 2xCCS
Rocland is 10xCCS
Both on the Chargefox network with different operators, Engie(maybe on behalf of someone) and RAA.
Also already some pricing 'wars' though the final Rocland pricing is more what was expected with a $0.40 p/kwh rate in solar peak.
Rocland currently

For 8 120kW stalls and strangely

For the other 2 75kW stalls. This may still be in error.

This compares to RAA currently at,

Rocland originally opened with only the 2x75kW stalls open and 90c most of the day, 7am - 9pm and 60c outsidr. This has already changed and I guess is expected as part of the funding was around gauging price vs demand. Not sure the rational for 2 stalls to be different, maybe to reduce max demand of site?

If you are looking for an absolute bargain EV DC fast charge check out the SA Port Adelaide site,

(Also the Rocland site here is possibly the petrol station site mentioned by the Gawler Councilor as up the road in the Gawler Supercharger denial.)

RAA media release today says their 150kw site goes live today at the Barossa Central shopping centre - though seems they're a few days late ;)

“We are now 25 per cent of the way through the rollout of the RAA Charge network giving more South Australian drivers the confidence to go all-electric.

“In the coming months another approximately 10 Rapid or Ultra-Rapid chargers will come online in regions such as the Fleurieu Peninsula, Eyre Peninsula and Adelaide Hills.”

The following Rapid and Ultra-Rapid charging sites are set to come online in the coming months:
  • Burnside Council carpark (200kW Ultra-Rapid)
  • Mt Barker Homemaker Centre (200kW Ultra-Rapid)
  • Cowell Waterfront carpark (150kW Rapid)
  • Port Augusta Wharflands Esplanade (200kW Ultra-Rapid)
