I’ve seen a number of posts about screen bubbles, but it’s usuallt the center stack screen. I’ve got one on the instrument cluster screen. So apparently it happens there too.

Anyone replaced an instrument cluster screen out of warranty? I wonder what the cost of it is.

Also, is there something special about Tesla screens? Never seen this problem on a flat panel display before, but then I don’t keep my PCs inside a car that experiences temp extremes either. Haven’t seen it on other car flatscreens, but those screens are usually tiny by comparison.

...something special about Tesla screens?...

Well known problem for BOTH central display and instrument clusters display.

Tesla has glue problem. Somehow the glue would leak out and the air enters in between the layers.

They redesigned it with new ones lately but it got yellow ring around the edge problem instead!

It might cost you a little over $1,000 ,

My local service center quoted cost of $1700 for parts and labor on replacement of instrument cluster screen.

Yellow border treatment on center screen quoted at $31.

I'll update again if the actual cost comes up different from quote.
