It needs to see your eyes before it will even allow Autopilot to be enabled now, similar to having your seatbelt buckled.

It wouldn't work for me then (I don't have FSD/EAP and don't want) as I always wear a baseball cap. I can imagine, however, that the car can determine where you're looking from the bill's direction.

As our MX does not have interior camera for FSD, just curious, what happens if you wear sun glasses were it would not be able to see your eyes?

Who suggested this? We need to nip this one in the bud right meow because otherwise a lot of people are going to read this and think it's a viable option. It's not. "Disabling" or covering your interior camera will only disable Autopilot entirely with the new update. It needs to see your eyes before it will even allow Autopilot to be enabled now, similar to having your seatbelt buckled.

Yeah, the whole problem was that it was new and different. The bad habits that I had developed over the first 14 months of ownership were the problem. On my return trip, I got the hang of it. My brother in law reminded me of voice commands and steering wheel controls that make it unnecessary to fiddle with the screen. And with Google Voice turned on for my Android phone, I can select playlists etc. And for doing bad things like reaching in the back seat - you just need to take it out of autopilot.
