Something strange regarding my Model X order

I ordered my Model X 90D on Labor day, confirmed it on the 12th of September, and got my VIN on the same day. I just got an email from Tesla today (Sept 17th) stating that I need schedule an appointment for delivery because my car will be arriving within a week. Im kind of panicking because I don't have anything figured out yet as far as financing or trade-ins. Not sure if this is just an error? Has any one else experienced something like this?
 
Highly doubt it is a error. It is pretty normal for Tesla to push out as many cars as possible for end of quarter (September 30th) delivery.

With the increase in production in Fremont the last 6 months, certain orders like yours for delivery in the United States (and Canada) get a quick delivery. I have a friend that ordered the end of August a Model S 60D, and has a delivery date of Sept. 27th here in NJ.

Talk to your delivery specialist if you do not think you will be able to be ready by the end of September. They will try to help as best as they can. But a reminder, most of them will be swamped with cars to get delivered in the next 2 weeks.

Thank you for the quick reply! Im also located in NJ, and from what I was reading on here a normal transit time is about 3 weeks to the east coast...? So given that my order wasn't even confirmed a week ago I was not expecting this! Not that Im complaining haha.

Either way I'll definitely give my delivery specialist a call tomorrow morning.

I'm on the similar boat. I finalize my order back in mid Aug and Tesla has not notified me anything about a Vin or confirm production/ Delivery date. I received an email from Tesla back on 12th with copy of purchase agreement. I checked MyTesla account and it stated in transit. I emailed tesla and spoke to the Delivery Experience Specialist @ NJ tonight and he confirmed my MX will be here this coming Wednesday. Now i'm rushing to get everything ready for pickup next weekend.

It's 3 weeks by rail but they'll be trucking it to you. Elon sent a companywide email telling everyone to move heaven and earth to deliver every car possible by 9/30. Enjoy!
