Yep. Finally called Tesla support. They checked the data and noted a "water ingress fault" with the window actuator. They are sending mobile service to replace the actuator. But now I'm curious as to how water got in there in the first place. Leaky window seals could be a problem here in rainy (and now sub-freezing) Seattle...
If it meets the definition of a lemon in your state, ask them to replace the car. They should have enough inventory now to replace it.
That's not how it works.
You can ask them, but they will say no. They will force you to go through arbitration first if you didn't opt-out and then you can file a lemon case, but Telsa isn't inclined to make it easy for you at all. They obviously do not want a used car back unless they are forced to take it back.
Service Center suspected water ingress... replaced a bunch more stuff. All seems good now.Same here. BOTH passenger windows found fully down IN THE RAIN ... days AFTER service center replaced board to fix rear window down. Headed to Service Center today.
I don’t see any vent function in the app. Where is that at?I park my car outside so whenever I’m away for a few days I’m super paranoid that a window might be down lol (happened 2 times to me so far). Luckily now they have a vent function in the app which shows you if your windows aren’t fully closed.
Discussed with wife; we think it’s just user error for us, hitting it by accident getting out, but we’ll keep eye out for further issues.I’m experiencing this little gremlin on our new Model 3. The window will be down part way after getting out (maybe about 3 inches; more than the automatic amount it does for opening door). Has happened on two different windows so far. Not sure yet if user error or car bug. I’ll be investigating this more thoroughly over the next few weeks.
Click on controls and it’s right there at the top. It’ll either say vent or close depending on the status of your windows.I don’t see any vent function in the app. Where is that at?
