Standard Battery with Options?

I'm assuming that once the standard battery becomes available, the premium package would be an available add-on. Does anyone have a reason to think that's not the case?

No, exactly correct. The battery size will be like in the S and X, a separate choosable option. When they want to 'complicate' production with added option choices.

Don't see why not. Options are typically much higher margin so selling a bare bones car without allowing one to purchase margin increasing options would not be beneficial to Tesla as a public company looking to maintain a certain margin level across the mix.
