i used to have same issue with Mondeo. PVC "leather" - the top layer gets "unglued" from the base.Mine seems to be bubbling slightly, near to where my left hand is (at 9 o’clock)
Anyone else had this problem? Model 3 LR
Well that’s disappointing. I thought vegan leather was made with actual vegans… After eating all that kale they must have soft, supple skin that would be nice to wrap around a steering wheel…because "Vegan" PVC "leather" is not leather - it is material consisting of at least 3 layers and there might be manufacturing defects or unwanted chemical reaction to heat/oils from skin etc.
I though the same.. i was actually ready for vegan hunting season the other day, and then these news...Well that’s disappointing. I thought vegan leather was made with actual vegans… After eating all that kale they must have soft, supple skin that would be nice to wrap around a steering wheel…
Are we talking about the wheel or vegans? Can you massage it out of sight and give it a tiny pin prick to release the air?
Was mentioned in a recent YouTube video of RSEV, they've had one steering wheel under warranty, and another but not sure what they did about it.Mine seems to be bubbling slightly, near to where my left hand is (at 9 o’clock)

do not massage it out!Noticed mine has started doing this lately. You can massage the bubble around, I've tried getting rid of it via the seams but doesn't want to co-operate.
2.5 years and 33k miles hopefully service don't give me the old wear and tear argument.
For that kind of money I'd rather just get it retrimmed with real leatherso you gotta be looking at around £675 unfortunately

To be honest I think anyone with an impact drill would get them off easy enough. The tech's are just turning up woefully unprepared for the job.I would have thought that that option would require removal of current one which in light of nut issue, may not really be an option?
