Had this recurring loose bolt problem for the last 100,000+km. After replacing the bolt (multiple service appointments to diagnose root cause) which kept recurring Tesla just tighten it each time & send me on my way which ended up causing the subframe to give out.

NUTHPT M12x1.75 [10]-G720 (2007089) & BOLT H CAM M12x1.75x66 [10.9]-G720 (2007061)

Tesla keep deflecting & trying to shift the blame (below).

So what now? 🤷‍♂️

Drop $5k & move on?
Small claims?
Insurance?

Had Sparky 6+ years from new @ 200,000+km now.

Been a total lemon of a car & don't know why I'm still an advocate. 🤦‍♂️

Cheers for any input

If you take it to court, even small claims, I would imagine you're going to want to have an engineering report in hand that says shoddy repair work contributed to the major failure.
I'd be also hitting up the Model S forum where there is a thread with numerous failures. Check the numbers and what Tesla has done in good will in those cases and use that..

Did you read OP’s post? What does the mileage have to do with anything in this case?

There is a very strong argument that Tesla’s refusal to address the issue, beyond ratcheting down the bolt numerous times, directly contributed to the failure.
I’m not the one to decide blame or fault. Thats up to the courts.
Just sayin dont expect it to be a slam dunk easy case as the courts system is not that simple. The age and distance for example, the OP will need to prove that only tesla have worked on the car from the start, including tyres. I can imagine that proof that the car hasnt also been regularly on rough roads would also be sought. Not that rough roads should cUse bolts to loosen. The OP may well be able to demonstrate all of this.
Just dont expect a magistrate to make a decision on the basis of one person’s texts Or small claims court to be easy. Cafz’s comment above about an engineering report would also be critical, and noting tesla will try to discredit that person in Court, so choose well.

I’m also a bit surprised at all of this. Adelaide service have always been exceptionally good.
