My weekly Wednesday afternoon check in. Laying in some rebar today. No one around at 3pm, but obviously some work since yesterday.

Thanks for the pic brutewolf!
Big step, framing and rebar for the transformer pad.
Check.

Need some chairs under-neath the rebar and wire ties to secure the rebar to each other.
And then pour the concrete.
And then strip the formwork, and let the concrete cure a bit.

Then acquire and set the transformer.
And wire it up,
and power it up.

Probably two weeks or so before this comes on line.
Hopefully before July 21 or so.

Transformer pad is set.

It would appear all of the pedestals only have a few of the screws in them, just enough to hold the cover on. Thought that was curious.

From I-44 Superchargers in Missouri-maybe talked to the right person finally

The press release at CNB to install electric car chargers at Hard Rock states:

At its Oct. 28 meeting, the Cherokee Nation Businesses board of directors unanimously approved a ground lease with Tesla Motors to allow the California-based electric car company to install an eight-vehicle Supercharger station on the northern end of the parking garage.

This new 8-Stall Supercharger will be at Google Maps - New Tulsa Supercharger
Cherokee Nation Hard Rock Tulsa
777 West Cherokee Street, Catoosa, OK

Heard someone say this was finished on 7/14. Anyone been through there?

==>> Meter Installed ==>> not done yet

** Inspection Approval by local permit authority
** Power company turns power "ON"
** Tesla Rep comes and fine tunes set-up, makes it operational, certifies it operates 24/7

THEN...
Another Supercharger Open for Business

Everything is a process.
Every step has a sequence.
No meter, no active Supercharger.

I stand corrected: HanSolo152 is correct,
It now shows up on my car's dash as being active.
I had checked supercharge.info earlier, and it did not show up (still not there as of 2:41 pm CST).

FIVE OTHER new Superchargers were activated today, 12 (Catoosa makes it 13) Superchargers already opened in 15 days.

Catoosa Supercharger opening is another miracle accomplishment and one more major step closer to Arkansas!

Update: I went to the Catoosa supercharger today. Barricaded off and 6 of the 8 chargers had yellow tape on them. I called Tesla the night before I came here and they said the chargers should be available for use. I tried using one of the two that were not taped off meaning I had to move the barricades out of the way so I can bring the car in to charge. Supercharger worked fine but then security came and told me to leave because they themselves were going to have some ceremony on their own to celebrate the supercharger. They didn't want anyone using the chargers. So they kicked me off and I left. I called tesla support and they said they would call the owners of the property to settle this out because we should be able to charge already and that it shouldn't be blocked off.

The security here was the security for Hard Rock Cafe. They're rude and they don't know Tesla and the rules.

Stopped by this am at 11. Started charging but was stopped by security. He was polite but firm that we couldn't charge. We unplugged and called Tesla -- after half an hour Brandon called us back and said we were cleared to charge! Thank you, Brandon!! After we re-plugged a gentleman from the casino approached and apologized profusely. It officially opens at 5:30 today, thank goodness!

Great charge rate today, only car here the whole time (someone in a Volt pulled up, tried to plug in, and left disappointed). Most expensive charge of my trip for sure though!

I know the feeling having accumulated some "expensive" knives, crock pots, etc., from the local casinos. One, however, repays the favor with free J1772 charging. At least there you don't need an adapter.
