It's not surprising that this station is unpowered. Tesla will put the stall numbers on the pedestals when they do their final check-out, you can tell from the picture that this hasn't happened yet.No power yet apparently...
I am not really sure. I thought the power companies were shifting to remote reading of their power meters like they do with residential. No the power meter is always located outside the fence in plain sight else how would the utility company read it.
Hi Adam,No power. I could not see a meter. I suspect it would be located behind the locked fence with the electrical equipment.
Hi Andy,I haven’t seen any meters in TESLA stations.
Hi Gavin,Is there only one meter for the entire bank of chargers at a given site? It seems there would be too much current for one meter to handle. There has to be some kind of limit to the amount of amps that a meter can handle.
I believe this location will draw from Duke Energy... like FPL they have gone the remote monitoring route. That being said waiting on Duke for anything timely, in my experience, will be frustrating. Maybe this round they’ll surprise us.
Hi Adam,Next time I am at the location, I will look around for a meter.
I studied your photo. I will try to locate this elusive meter and snap a photo of it while it may be asleep.Hi Adam,
Thanks, but more importantly we need a photo of the utility transformer and the cable pole to get a better idea of the status of this installation.
Please refer to posting #48 where I speculate where the utility might place the transformer and cable pole feeding the transformer. Those locations might be a good place to start looking.
