Supercharger - Bloomington, IN

I still think it'll go at the Meijer in Evansville. There's nothing near that 64/69 interchange. Meijer isn't that far off the beaten path.
Evansville is a huge diversion for I-64 traffic though. The truck stop exit I refer to splits the ~200 mile gaps perfectly for both I-64 and I-69 travel. And it's only a 7-minute diversion for I-69 traffic which is nice.

I’m not talking about the exit with the mini mart. I’m talking about an exit on I-64 a few miles west of the interchange. It’s only a 7 minute diversion for I-69 travel.

7 to 12 minute diversion, depending on where exactly they'd put it. There are a bunch of gas stations and hotels along US-41 there.. People traveling I-69 could take US-41 through Evansville, IN to cut time and distance. Certainly a good compromise.

Plus, US-41 is the N-S route to Terre Haute, IN. For example, Nashville, TN to Terre Haute, IN takes US-41 through Evansville, IN.

So, Elberfeld, IN likely really to be Haubstadt, IN.

Thought I would drop a few photos from a supercharger construction site. Glad Tesla is getting this done!

Thanks for posting. I dropped by there a few times this week as I was over there on business. Didn't see anybody working all week which means they might be waiting for the cabinets to arrive, or the people who will be repaving the parking surface, or an electrical inspector. Or maybe a little bit of all of the above?

I drove by last Saturday and nothing has been done. It's a bummer but I thought I'd keep everyone posted.

I'm traveling through Bloomington tomorrow from Indy to Evansville and back. Anyone know if the superchargers are working yet? I assume not and I'll be forced to go the long way, via Terra Haute. I am just hoping that I get lucky and this is done. I do this trip every other week and it's getting OLD without a Supercharger in Bloomington or Evansville.
Cheers!

It’s not ready :( I stopped by yesterday and there’s no change since they added the green transformer.

Thank you for the update. We are watching this supercharger closely. We travel to IU from the East Coast to see my daughter and watch her games, usually charge at the state park (pay to enter park and hope the chargers are not taken by gas cars), or at Hardin Ridge where we'll get a campsite with 50amp service and camp in the car. We will be soooo happy when they activate the Supercharger in Bloomington.

You should checkout the chargers at switch yard park. Free level 2 chargers.
