Well I haven't pulled out the tape measure, but I am guessing no. At least they are more flexible, especially in cold weather, which makes it easier to plug in, but all the new Supercharger spots have the bollard right in the centre of the rear of the car, so one must pay a little more attention backing up compared to the ones with curbs (like Kamloops and Kelowna). I don't know; maybe for some it is easier lining up the back of the car with a red bollard in the dead centre of the camera?
Actually you can see in the picture above they missed the proper placement of the painted white lines in line with the pedestals, and had to redo them.
I also wonder if the newer vehicles (with hardware 3 and AP 3: I'm assuming the sonar is different than what I have) would actually stop on their own before hitting the bollard: does someone want to try this?
