To be honest, I'm not sure what those cabinets are. They don't look like any V3 cabinet shipments I've seen before, and the proportions look a little bit off for a V3 cabinet. Also, the pallets are different than what Tesla normally uses to ships V3 cabinets. Compare with these recent photos from other sites:@corywright this charger appears to now be under construction, equipment was dropped off on site.
If all three V3 cabinets remain at this location, there will be a maximum of 12 pedestals, but we've been seeing equipment move back and forth between Marquette and Escanaba via that Penske rental truck, so take that information with a grain of salt. Previously this was cleared for 10 stations, so maybe they rounded up to 12.
Yes, your eyes deceive you. Or rather, you can't yet tell the difference between power distribution cabinets (i.e. the switchgear) from supercharger cabinets--which aren't on site yet.Do my eyes deceive me, or do I see 3 supercharger cabinets, 3x4=12 V3 stalls...!?
The switchgear box that's at Marquette looks nothing like this, though. The proportions to me look like cabinets.Yes, your eyes deceive you. Or rather, you can't yet tell the difference between power distribution cabinets (i.e. the switchgear) from supercharger cabinets--which aren't on site yet.
That's because it's using a different style enclosure from a different supplier. Tesla uses a couple of different ones on superchargers, I'm not sure why. Here, the three things you see are segments/panels of a single, larger cabinet that will be put together on the pad.The switchgear box that's at Marquette looks nothing like this, though. Alrighty, 3 years + 1 day and ground has finally been broken. Let's give it a cone!Adding in a photo from the site in Esky taken earlier this morning. The asphalt has been dug up in locations and looks like clear signs that construction is under way!
To be fair to Tesla on this one, you can really call it 2 years and 1 day given COVID.Alrighty, 3 years + 1 day and ground has finally been broken. Let's give it a cone!
Absolut! Finally!!! Thanks to everyone for the updates and the pictures. Keem 'em coming.
We need to do a UP Tesla meetup.

Yes, the conduit layouts in the equipment area shows spots for 2 V3 supercharger cabinets, a switchgear, and the utility transformer. 8 is the expected number of stalls based on the 2 V3 cabinets.Does this look indicative of 2x V3 cabinets as we've seen in Marquette, or 8 stalls total?
