In my case, going from Atlanta to Joplin, MO needs a Supercharger station near Ft Smith Arkansas to avoid a diversion through St Louis (to stay on Interstates) or a 200 mile leg through the Ozarks on a windy 2 lane road.
This is strange, as the Tesla Supercharger Map has never shown Ozark as a future site, showing instead Clarksville and Fort Smith. This would suggest that these are now obsolete, as they are so close to Ozark as to make them of little value anymore.
My local Ranger is replacing the upper control arm today on my Model 3. He said the Fort Smith SC is built and they are waiting on final approvals to turn it on.

Highly suspicious, as Supercharger.info shows no record of one under construction there, nor any permit issued. I suspect that the tech is either confusing or equating the Ozark site with Fort Smith.

Not suspicious at all. SC.info is crowd sourced, so they often don't know about sites in less traveled areas and/or in cities which don't have easily searched building records.
