Don't *need* a spot, really... I'll arrive there with almost 200 miles of rated range most likely. I was actually thinking about parking in the 4th spot in or so just to not hold up anyone who needs a charge.

Since I charged there on Tuesday, I managed to use some up, so I will be arriving with likely around 90mi of range, so about 20 minutes will be just what the doctor ordered!

Ah. I keep mine plugged in whenever not in use. After 10PM electric rates drop (RLM/ToU meter) and I have it set to charge at 10:05PM. So, I always leave with 90%.

Any particular reason you don't just leave it plugged in at night like Tesla recommends? Just wondering.

I often have the ability to opportunity charge at garages and destinations. I like to be able to do that. When there is a long stretch where that isn't going to happen I will plug it in to have the minimum charge. I tend to have more charge than minimum from charging elsewhere anyways.

There's also the laziness factor. I get home and I don't feel like unrolling the cable and plugging in :). I've never had a problem.

Just left the ribbon cutting. Huge turnout...

Got some decent pics and took the Phantom up and got some ariel shots too. Will post when I get home.

Was a great event. Possibly as much as 60 Model Ses and 3 Roadsters.

Counting in my aerial shots I estimated about 66 Model S and 5 Roadsters... working on organizing pics now...

Edit: Heres one pic so far to start things off (click for full resolution):

Feel free to link to this post, but please don't hotlink and/or steal my images! Exception: I give Tesla permission to do whatever they would like with any of these images.

I will post the full flight video as soon as it is done uploading, although fighting today's high winds made it a little shaky at times.

Being ICEd

The Tesla logos painted on the pavement should be a help. Since Tesla doesn't want to tow offenders, maybe they should put some semi heavy pylons in the spaces. It would further alert non Tesla drivers. But more importantly if these drivers had to get out of their car, move the obstruction,. then get back in the car, then park, it would be more trouble than it's worth. Most would rather drive further on. Of course you might have the problem of Tesla drivers not replacing them after they charge.

Some great photos by John Sergeant from the event here: Hamilton NJ Supercharger Grand Opening.

My car is the gray one in the first photo - inadvertently was front and center for the ribbon-cutting.

Sam, thanks for the link, and to John for posting pics on the ground.
