This one makes no sense. I live about 14 miles away. The Temple charger is about 25 miles away. While there are Teslas here, I do not think anyone around here will use it and there is not traffic passing through for it to be viable, because not many folks travel through Lampasas to get go anywhere west or north
What makes no sense is your comment there are many military personnel that live on base with Tesla's and there isn't any supercharger within reach there are many low range Tesla's in the Killeen harker Heights area more than 1,000 Tesla's superchargers are needed just like in California to be positioned like gas stations every 10 mi

I wonder why this site isn't shown as "Coming Soon" on the Tesla Supercharger locator. Maybe because it's a hosted install and not a Tesla planned location?

I also think there is enough distance between Bucees and Market Heights -- especially being on two different highways. There is only 27 miles between Bucees and the Jarrell SC. Even less going on in Jarrell than Heights.

For the most part, I think they've stopped putting "coming soon" spots on the map. I haven't really seen any new "coming soon" pins lately aside from the ones that win in the quarterly voting. None of the newer Superchargers in West Texas had "coming soon" pins either like Clyde, San Angelo, Post, Abilene, Big Spring... the chargers going in down in the Big Bend area... etc.

There is indeed a larger volume of Teslas that frequents the base now than before.

Just curious - would it have anything to do with Ft. Cavazos? Teslas on post? Visitors?

I visit Fort Hood often; look forward to having charging near the post. There are few other charging options; most hotels in the area don't repair the level 2 chargers that are vandalized.

Transformer is installed. Awaiting Oncor meter installation and final commissioning. Not yet ready for supercharging. A few have tried.

Don't forget to Precondition your battery 🔋 prior to Supercharging at 250kW especially in cold weather by entering your destination in navigation.
