Whoa, that is weird. Monster cable was notorious for threatening and asserting their trademark to anyone using the name "Monster" in ANY field, such as a miniature golf place, which isn't even remotely related to electronic cables. I'm surprised none of these companies has done something against the others, since they are all in the grocery store industry. One of my favorite hard cider companies, Atlas Cider, in Bend, OR had to change their name because there was another beverage company in New England called Atlas who threatened them about the name. So the one in Bend changed to Avid Cider.
For business like this it is incorporation on a state level. There is a burger place in St Helena, CA that was called Taylor's Refresher for years. Someone bought it and wanted to expand so they went to incorporate and the Taylor's name was already taken in CA so they had to change to Gott's. You will notice that none of the Super 1 Foods overlaps into any of the others' territory. If you look into trademarks, there are multiple trademarks for similar names in different industries so there is also that factor. In this case they are assuming that a shopper in LA who is a regular isn't going to go to WA or MN and assume it is the same ownership.

Alcohol, on the other hand, is federally regulated so that is why companies go after other brands in other states.

In all the states I hail from it is a state regulated process. Montana is one of those. With purchases being made through the state at wholesale level. State even requires a minimum price product can be sold at. Montana even has state run/ruled stores.

Back to topic. This morning 6:33am. Still the same at the potential charging location. Packaged liquor can be purchased in the casino if one desires.

Have a great day everyone!

I am not referring to the sale. I am referring to the actual licensing for production and labeling of alcohol. That is federal. States can expand on regulation (like where it is sold) but you can’t produce and sell without a federal license which is why the cider company mentioned above couldn’t have the same name even though they were in a different state.

I imagine this will be turned on before it snows but that’s about it. This is probably the longest thread about one site before it is actually open. Almost 500 posts.

Super1 Foods will never host another supercharger location. They were supposed to be the original hosts on the Kalispell site and they backed out literally hours before Tesla broke ground. The Helena location will forever be a solo location for Super1 Foods.
The original Kalispell location was located in the Smith's parking lot along US 2 (aka E. Idaho ST.) next to the Super1. In 2013, might have been 2014, I started checking that locaction on my annual trip to Montana until the dot was removed from the supercharge.info map.

That is a load of BS. Tesla didn’t fire any contractors and if a gas station employee told them to stop workin that is way out of line. They told them to hold off on NEW construction but to continue ongoing builds. This was started before the firings so there shouldn’t have been any issues. Tesla needed a few days to work out payments since all the contacts for the contractors were fired but once they reestablished those then they could finish the sites. Someone at the gas station is just trying to sound important.

As of May 22, this site just needs a transformer and meter, things that rest entirely on the local utility. The contractor is done so there is nothing more for them to do.

Anything going from an orange cone to a red dot on this list was started prior to the firings and finished after so it is quite obvious the message from Tesla was NOT “all contractors are fired” and now they need to rehire. If the contractor walked when told Tesla needed some time to reorganize before payment then that’s on the contractor and not Tesla or the gas station employees and this is a prime example of why not to believe employees of site hosts. They don’t know anything. They are not in contact with Tesla directly.
