Two months seems a very short span between permit and construction start. My observation is more like several months, if ever. But great if it really is an SC construction start, we’ll know soon enough. Although SC hardware is often late incoming, I know this from a 24 stall SC station just across the freeway in Lake Forest, real close to my house where I passed the site almost daily. Lots of trenching work, followed by conduits, big job. I wonder what criteria Tesla uses to determine when a permitted location starts construction. Many seemingly high priority locations languish for months and sometimes way over a year even if permit has been granted.

Any signs of any Tesla-branded stuff, or things like pedestal bases that are obviously parts of a Supercharger site?

Bruce.

Permit was issued in July and had a rough electrical inspection on 8/11 that requires a re-inspection.

I forgot about this one. That does seem extremely quick for the construction. I also wonder if they will add any new retail/dining in this center because it desperately needs it.
Original permit application date is 4/7. It’s been 4 months. 3 months to approve and issue permit isn’t exactly fast in CA where many jurisdictions green light anything EV related. Plans need to meet code but other than that, there are usually no neighborhood or use restrictions that can be imposed to hold things up.

Keep in mind, Marco posts permits as soon as he finds them which is usually on application. It may seem like a long time from when he originally posts but in reality, most of that time is getting the permit approved. Once it is approved it usually issued within a couple of months. Once a permit is issued, there is a limited amount of time to complete the project before additional forms/fees are required to continue the project.

I finally got a chance to check this one out. I find the placement in the back alley odd. It's a bit of a hike to any services even for what appears to be two handicapped spots. One other thing I don't remember seeing before is the protective posts are coming with the pads here. I don't see any Magic Docks.

I took a few more pictures and ran into the security guy. He's pretty baffled this would have been placed here. I also noticed parking in the back is for tenants only right now. Putting this in the front would be better but I'm sure there are reasons...

The Laguna Hills @ Polly’s supercharger station is now open.

I guess I’m the first person to use the “Polly’s” charger. I saw cars at the chargers and pulled in. They said all those chargers were company ones and I was the first true customer to use the station. They said my blue S might be on Twitter with a photo.

There are 5 pull in chargers and 10 back in chargers.

Was just about to come post that it’s open as well! I was nearby and figured I would pop in and it worked. Didn’t seem to be charging me a fee either.
