New Construction really confirmed.
On Friday, April 22, we stopped for lunch on our east bound trip, and saw the trenches and vertical pipes stubs.
Today, Sunday the 24th, headed back west, progress had been made with the installation of the RED covers on the pipes and ONE TESLA VEHICLE CHARGING ONLY SIGN

Heading west from Colby last Thursday with the next scheduled stop to be Limon we got an alert on the screen that said the “Supercharger on your route is out of service”. That’s it, no contingency suggestions. With no other option and the likelihood that we wouldn’t make Denver we continued knowing that there were motels, food and that we could spend the night if necessary. However, the forecast called for a storm forecast to bring up to 2 feet of snow to our foothills area. Getting home ahead of that was much preferred. Thankfully the original rack of chargers was in service while installation was being done for the update so we were able to get home ahead of the storm. Still got quite the scare.

Goodland to Denver supercharger is 183 miles. That's doable with careful driving. Sucks to head back to Goodland (assuming you were already past it), but that's probably what I would have done. FWIW every time I've gotten that message, the supercharger has actually been out of service.

Yikes! Lucky for us. This time.

Indeed, the spacing between Goodland to Denver is well within range but we were moving along per the ‘good-to-go’ prompt on this screen at Goodland. Our habit on this trip—4,100 miles over 17 days—was to always get ourselves a little extra charge beyond recommendations but in this case it would not have been enough to to get to Denver. (Another sketchy section which required drafting behind semis and driving at lower than posted speeds without was Joplin, MO to Wichita, KS.)
