Latest rumour from the staff working the Perth install via Facebook points to the Nepean SuperCharger being at the Canadian Tire at Robertson and Moodie and being built soon.
I really hope not, to much of a detour, especially with traffic. I guess it could be another cornwall or rideau detour so probably should hold my criticism, or I might jink it and make it more of a detour. Regradless nice to hear a full speed SC will be coming soonLatest rumour ... SuperCharger being at the Canadian Tire at Robertson and Moodie and being built soon.
It's about 2.5 minutes from the 417 and about 4 minutes from the 416, very similar to Kingston and many other sites. This is not a Cornwall diversion.I really hope not, to much of a detour, especially with traffic. Really closer to adding 8-10min to a trip depending on traffic. But as I said, it could be worse(I didn't say it was a cornwall diversion, actually said the oposite), I tried to finish with a postive in my last message, and will again, it at least it serves two routes. It's about 2.5 minutes ... I’ll go out on an optimistic limb here and guess that if this is indeed it, there’s going to be a second SC soon too. Ottawa has two major highway intersections. This is right by one of them (416 and 417). The other one is in the east end of the city (417 and I 174 - the Split) and there’s a Canadian Tire on Coventry Road right by that interchange. Ottawa is quite underserved with SCs based on the size of the city and number of Tesla’s. If there’s only 8 chargers being built here, I would guess there’s another 8 being planned elsewhere in the city.
And to be even more optimistic - Gatineau needs some too.

Why do you post distances each time there's a supercharger. Is that the distance from the location to the other superchargers?Nepean, ON
Along National Highways: TCH/ON-417
Along Provincial Highways (<=8km): None
TCH
From: Renfrew, ON - 76.7 km
To: Casselman, ON - 71.4 km
Diversion: 4.1 km
From: Deep River, ON - 178.8 km
To: Pointe-Claire, QC - 190.6 km
From: Perth, ON (ON-7,TCH) - 69.9 km
From: Kingston, ON (ON-401,ON-416) - 177.2 km
To: Mont Tremblant, QC (TCH,ON-RR95,QC-5,QC-50,QC-317,QC-321,QC-315,QC-323,QC-117) - 173.2 km
To: Mascouche, QC (TCH,ON-RR95,QC-5,QC-50,QC-15,QC-640) 217.7 km
A much-needed Supercharger on the TCH, splitting the current 246.2 km gap between Deep River, ON and Casselman, ON.
It's also the first full-power Supercharger somewhere vaguely near Ottawa.

I’m not too sure what they are, but it sure looks like what you would find on top of a V2 cabinet. I really hope I’m wrong thoughWent there this evening and took some pics of a couple of cabinets that are on site. I have no idea what they are but perhaps someone knowledgeable in these things can confirm that these would be used by a Supercharger station.
The construction seems to be progressing very quickly with all the posts and conduit in place.
Those appear to be the buck/boost transformers (or auto transformers) that are used as part of the SuperCharger setups.I’m not too sure what they are, but it sure looks like what you would find on top of a V2 cabinet. I really hope I’m wrong though
