Supercharger - Palm Springs, CA (LIVE 19 Jun 2019, 11 urban + 12 V3 stalls)

The address shown on Supercharge.info (235 S Indian Canyon Dr.) is different than what others are reporting here. I spend half the year in Palm Springs and see no evidence of any activity anywhere. I must say the reported address on Supercharge.info does not make sense since that is property that is currently occupied.

Could it be the existing parking structure or the corner of Indian Canyon and Barristo? I looked the address up on Apple Maps and it looks close.

Mociaf9 posted the City Council meeting construction documents. It's the Garage by the Museum. Not the Indian Canyon Location.

On February 11, 2018, I visited the Palm Springs Art Museum and walked across the street to investigate the parking garage, which is the site of the future supercharger. Inside the garage I found a security guard who commented that he had heard the installation was supposedly to have started in December, but there was no sign of any progress. He showed me the wall on which the chargers will be located, which is depicted in the photo below. The ground level of the parking structure and the uncovered second level of the parking structure are smaller in size and not a deep as the underground level where the superchargers will be located. The underground level appears to go as far back as where Belardo Road would be. The blank wall near "6 north" (see photo) where the superchargers will be is "a bit of a walk" to the road where the Museum is located. However, the "6 north" area is not quite a far back as where Belardo Road would be. I suspect Tesla owners will like the location of the superchargers in the garage, as there will be plenty of regular and closer parking for ICE cars - and thus little chance of getting ICEd at the superchargers. Also, the underground location is obviously shaded and thus protected from the desert heat.

Well, this is really bizarre!

We stayed in the hotel just opposite the supposed garage - see the brown-roofed structure with the pink umbrellas in, e.g., post #25 - over Thanksgiving, and specifically were told that there were free chargers on the second floor of that garage, already installed. As we'd topped off at Indio, we didn't need to make use of them. So I never went over to investigate whose chargers they were, but I thought I'd contribute this post just to stir the pot a bit....

That Garage has 4 Level 2 free Clipper Creek chargers. I use them when in town. 2 on parking level 2 and 2 on parking level 3 directly across from the elevators.

The new garage at the Spa Casino has 24 Level 2 chargepoint (you need a card)but Also free to use
