Stopped by tonight in my Model Y that I picked up today (zero issues with it) and was saddened to see this. Hopefully it was the wind and not some asshat.

Glad it had zero issues. BTW, did you pick up the piece and reattach it the best you could? That was unclear.
I wasn’t sure if I should try or not. One thought that crossed my mind was that if it is laying there Tesla (or whoever) would see it when they come to turn on the Supercharger this week. Unless that’s done remotely? If you think it’s a good idea to do that I will totally go back.

V3 can be up to 7 cabinets (28 stalls) per system. Firebaugh, CA has two complete systems - 14 cabinets and 56 stalls.
Thanks, I did not realize that. Reading the nameplates on the Peoria V3 cabinets is interesting. Each cabinet feeds 4 stalls with each output showing 250kW which matches marketing information. However, each cabinet nameplate shows Max continuous power of 350KVA AC IN and 575 kW DC IN/OUT. Two cabinets together feeding 8 X posts at 250kW is 2000 kW. But the highest power looks to be 350KVA X 2 or up to 700kW at 1.0 PF . Maybe some overloading is allowed so 1000 kW looks possible as the MAX for this V3 site. This means two V3 cabinets could not supply all 8 posts with 250kW each. One cabinet could supply 4 posts at 250kW each IF the other cabinet directs all it's DC power into the first as well (no power to stalls) AND the cabinets go above nameplate for a short period of time. I think this is some clever engineering on Tesla's part to balance component cost and maximize device utilization. Likely also based on real-world charging data suggesting it is very unlikely to have 8 cars plugged in AND all being able to take 250kW so why spend the money to install that much capacity if you can interconnect cabinets to get to ~1000kW. Better then V2 which had the individual cabinets with no ability for a cabinet to help another cabinet.
