Supercharger - Pittsburgh, PA

Many dont consider the Tesla "coming soon" to be something to set your watch to. The most accurate predictor IMO is supercharge.info where the greater tesla community tracks actual permits and construction progress. When it starts to be built, you know its coming.

You have a great city. I passed through yesterday. Shady Side has many classic houses - the old street car suburbs.
Thank you, I'm not originally from here, but it is a very unique and friendly city to live in. There are lots of great places to visit here!

I'll check out the supercharge.info spot to see what's up in there. Thanks for the tip!!

Hey Pittsburghers! I noticed a month or so ago that there was a Supercharger "coming soon" to the Robinson area, but that blip on the map is now gone. Does anyone have any information on this? Super disappointing to see since I live in Moon and was excited to have this nearby just in case.

It was supposed to go in at the Market District, but I'm not sure what the current status is. The holdups at Shadyside may have compounded with pandemic issues to delay it or ... ?? But that is where it was supposed to go and where I'd watch for permits on the township website (whichever township that is) and/or construction.

As an aside, we have a big Pittsburgh group on FB (linked to the links on my signature)-- come join us!

Well the supercharger worked but I tried two stalls and both were quite slow. One bounced around in the 40s for a while and the 2nd one I tried was a constant 32kW. The Nav kept toggling between Open and Temporarily Closed, which makes me think it's just some type of automated process when it senses that a supercharger isn't providing full power.
