I suspect that this means Cambridge will be dropped, its pretty close and also just off SH1, I doubt they'll build two new sites so close in a short timeframe.

Interesting.. several new pins appearing on the NZ Tesla map have been placed at precise locations (not general "in the middle of a town" locations) and some were later confirmed as the correct locations (by evidence of construction, etc).

This one appears to be at Ruakura Berry Shop / Camarosa restaurant. Might be worth asking questions of them

The pin placement is accurate.

No signs of supercharger hardware yet, but a brand spanking new 750kVA transformer with construction fencing around it right in front of the Berry store carpark is confirmation enough for me.

Passed by again today, still no supercharger hardware, the only noticable progress is that the car park area has pegs and mark out paint that weren't previously there. It's currently a gravel lot, so it's probably going to be sealed like the main carpark as part of the upgrades.

Progress at Ruakura..

Just saw on the old bookface some photos, looks like it's going to be six stalls, concrete plinths have been poured with orange ducting sticking out.

Also, A new pin has appeared at Taihape, Q1 2024 target. It's only 15mins away from the existing Mangaweka site, so Mangaweka is going to be a 4 stall v2 site sandwiched between two new v3 sites.

Looks not too far off, might be open for Xmas, depends if they are going to asphalt/concrete the lot.

I tried this charging place over my Christmas drive down country trip. Found it very conveniant and a nice place to stop. Same as a new chargers at Bulls.

I used the Ruakura Supercharger today. It's handy as you can get a charge and be back on the motorway quicker than trying to get out of the supercharger at Te Rapa when The Base is busy with shoppers. However, there is only an ice-cream/fresh berries store and a restaurant at the Ruakura location, so if you are on a road trip and want cheap eats or more options Te Rapa is better.
