4/8 Construction update: Looks to be this site will only open with 8 V3 Superchargers - not 20. Cabinets and stalls installed. Awaiting utility transformers, lamppost, and a couple more charging signs.
It would be cool to see the nameplate on the transformer. Just wondering if they are sizing it for the 8 right now or they installed and sized the transformer for the 20 eventual stalls.
True. Although similar to Carlsbad V3, Balboa, or even Fashion Valley, the location will be pretty busy throughout the day that there likely won’t even be a chance for them to get ICEd.

Anyone have an idea on when they might turn these on or what else is missing? Would love to be able to set the destination to this location then use the 350 kW CCS chargers that are in the same lot to get the cheaper rate.

You can set for Eastlake, it should precondition just fine for now. Even from 5 min away from Las Americas, set to Eastlake it preconditions right away.

Awesome thanks! I was under the impression that the car would only start to pre condition as you were on the way to the super charger. I wonder what's the hold up with the super chargers at Las Americas. Everything looks like its ready to go. I'm getting my CCS adapter from Korea tomorrow so I'll be happy with that because of EA's lower rates. Just glad thats over with as I'd have to get lucky and use one of the two EVgo stations that are usually being used.
Why is it taking so long? I've seen other charging stations built and operational much faster. Is it the mall that is delaying things or is it the city?
Kinda sad to learn that you won't have 24 hour access to these stalls. They close off the area around mall closing time. Last time I tried to use the EA chargers there with my CCS adapter and the security guards kicked me out. I found an entrance they didn't block yet after hours and was told to leave.
