Not as of Sunday morning. Just the signs to charge on the other side.have the plexiglass been installed?
Are you aware that TMC is not affiliated with Tesla? The moderators here have no hotline to Elon's private number.Perhaps you should help out as the moderator and direct Tesla to install plexiglass and point them to this thread. Telling people to stop talking about issues is just as pointless.
So, what exactly are you disagreeing with @FOOLSLFDRVNG? I am really quite curious.
Don't go after the mods for trying to keep things civil.
Was there Fri nite. Signs installed. One side says up to 250kw. Other side says please use other side. All cars were charging on right side.have the plexiglass been installed?

well they could go to the pasadena supercharger if they wanted to.I was here charging at 9:30 this morning and it was full with two cars waiting. Passed by here a little later around 11:00 and it looked completely full. This area can certain use another SC station along the 10.
Who is going to post a sign to direct them off of their route to do so?well they could go to the pasadena supercharger if they wanted to.
themselves. If they want to wait no problem just wait at san gabriel.Who is going to post a sign to direct them off of their route to do so?

Is there a reason for it?View attachment 741058Not sure if anyone noticed but this location now has a mega pack
In case of a power outage cars can to continue to chargeIs there a reason for it?

It could definitely be used for when there is a power outage but most of the time it will help limit the demand charges that Tesla would incur. Right now SCE does not charge for demand charges on EV rates but in the near future they will and that will significantly increase the cost to operate a Supercharger unless you can offset the few times where the charging station is full by the use of the batteries energy. In case of a power outage cars can to continue to charge
Supercharger sites usually get put on normal industrial utility rates and the demand charges are steep enough on these rates where battery storage at each site makes economic sense in the longer term. EV utility rates are usually offered to very small load (i.e. residential and small commercial) customers and not to large charging sites.Right now SCE does not charge for demand charges on EV rates

Add to that: the megapack could theoretically be connected to the DC bus of the supercharger cabinets, allowing the station to deliver closer to 250kW maximum rates to each stall, even when the station is full. Not sure if Tesla is doing this yet, though...It could definitely be used for when there is a power outage but most of the time it will help limit the demand charges that Tesla would incur.
