Supercharging throttles quick. Help?

I called Tesla and they said this is normal and no errors are being reported.

It throttles almost immediately.

At around 60% is only at 35kw and I've watched some videos on YouTube and other S70D's charge at a much higher rate until around 75%

I drive a 2015 70D and the battery was replaced about 3 months ago.

Any ideas?

The 70kwh battery has always tapered fairly aggressively, but even so you should still be around 60kw at 60%.

Are you seeing this consistently across multiple sessions, supercharger sites/stalls, etc?

Throttle depends on temperature as well as state of charge. My 100D would throttle a lot earlier regardless of state of charge when it is really hot outside. What is the temperature outside when you were being throttled early?

It always throttles early, every time I charge.

Today it was around 20c

These (excuse the filthy car, it’s grasshopper season here). It’s closed in the picture above, but should generally open during supercharging (you’ll see a heat exchanger behind each one).

It's a common failure that results in dramatically reduced supercharging speeds. Happened to me. I even told the first service center that my passenger side louver never opened any more and they said it was fine because there were no errors.

The second service center said it was defective before I'd even left when dropping it off and said there was a louver alert error for months. They replaced that louver and my supercharging speed returned to normal promptly.

False alarm, charger was just crap. Hit 105 kW at Kettleman City.

I go to one about 10 mins from me and i think a few stalls there are faulty. I need to visit another one near by but i thtottle down to like 50kW at 10% SOC! I SC about 2x a month.. sometimes 3. Ever since the 2019 update, its been real crap.

Is the louvre and the fan/loud noise a direct correlation to the charge rate the car will do?
