This just happened to me. It was the first time (5400 miles). I just updated to 2019.8.5 about a week before. I didn't realize what was happening at first, then I figured it out. Good think I was still able to drive the car.
You can install our site as a web app on your iOS device by utilizing the Add to Home Screen feature in Safari. Please see this thread for more details on this.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
But did you actually need to if you were on NoA?Only downside was I couldn't tell my speed,
It's never happened to me. Not once. This happens on occasion to all Teslas, not just Model 3.
Are you on the latest firmware? It's never happened to me. Not once.
Do you use Navigate on AP at all? The reboots seem to be largely linked to that.2019.8.5
We were driving home last night on our M3 LR RWD running 2019.8.5 when the screen began flickering wildly, then it rebooted while driving. After the reboot I could see parts of the map flickering. In addition, the text that displays the title of the song being played on the streaming app would alternate between being legible and being garbled, like looking at some Greek lettering or other illegible characters.
The screen rebooted a second time as we pulled into the garage. After the second reboot the car did not correctly identify us reaching our destination and continued giving us directions. And some of the icons were only displaying about half their pixels.
I know random reboots can be related to buggy software, but the screen flickering and garbled text in random locations even after a reboot seems like it may be a bad screen or control unit. Has anyone else experienced this?
