Has anyone tapped into the 380v battery for use with a power inverter? For the purpose of powering your house after a storm.. that sort of thing. I'm thinking that most high frequency inverters take 12/24/48v and boost it up to 380v, then synthesize 60hz 120/240. So why not cut out the middle man and hook such an inverter directly to the battery?

Now that’s got me thinking of a solar inverter. It is common for solar inverters to accept inputs of up to 525vdc. They usually don’t produce power unless there’s a grid to sync to, but some will operate indenpendently . SMA Sunny Boy is one that will make 2kw w//o a grid.
