Terrible Tesla customer service

Coincidence or the power of TMC? Within an hour of my post above, I got a call from Tesla. They agreed to change my order and honour the new lower pricing with the change fee. I didn't push waiving the change fee, just happy to finally have a resolution.

Within another hour I got an email from my DS: "Great news – we are adjusting the price for all clients across the board in Canada in order to honor the lowered price for our early orders! "

Faith in Tesla restored. Long live TMC.

Of course, I wouldn't expect a single person to say I have a point when I say something negative about Tesla in this forum. .

Look at the bright side, at least people aren't accusing you of being short on TSLA trying to manipulate the stock with bad news so you can make money or being a paid troll who works for another auto manufacturer. Consider yourself lucky ;)

As a customer, I just don't feel that's the way to be treated. $750 is one thing, but providing a 'Tesla Experience' is another issue.... I am just sharing my 'Tesla Experience' and it is not a black mail ... and sorry, it is also not from a Tesla fanboy: 'Tesla is always right'.

Well, that seems to be the Tesla Experience for some.

Customer service is really hard for some organizations.

Years ago when I bought a luxury car from a highly rated customer friendly company, I had a great experience from the first interaction to the second to the last interaction. Everything was done, I was paying by check, and I needed to see the finance person. All I wanted to do was hand over the check, sign the paperwork (which was all ready for me to sign) and leave. Instead, I got a sales pitch about buying the extended warrantee and they gave me a price which I knew was 30% higher than I could get elsewhere. I was disappointed that I felt that they were nickle and diming me, but got into the car, put the top down, revved the V8 and got over it real fast ;)

Glad they took this step and did the right thing. Customer goodwill (and reduced risk of cancel/reorder) is worth the 750 for these type of situations. Certainly not all price changes should work this way, but made sense for these ones.

Actually my issue was different the OPs and involved a 4.5% price decrease after my order confirmed. Roughly $6750. Tesla is making the change for everyone that was affected, so yes I agree. It was clearly the right thing to do.

I also think they should throw in the $750 décor that is now being offered for free. Hopefully it will work out for the OP.

Of course, I wouldn't expect a single person to say I have a point when I say something negative about Tesla in this forum. However, just to clarify, I am not squirming for a better deal than the one to which I agreed, I am just asking for a FAIR deal that anyone can click at the website to get TODAY.
That is the point, I think. You decided to order a year ago in order to not be the person ordering today. If the person ordering today has a year to wait you would probably feel like your $750 was money well spent but since this has turned out to not be the case, you are forgetting your reasoning from a year ago.

I emailed a link to this thread to one of my Tesla contacts who forwarded it to somebody in management. No idea whether or not that helped you out or not, but I'm very happy your issue was resolved to your satisfaction, and I hope they take care of the O.P. and people in a similar situation.

I have heard that Tesla has a full-time person that reads TMC, so they may have come across your post, too.

PS. I also paid $750 for the infamous-now-standard-Dark-Ash-Decor, but since I had already taken delivery on 3/22, the price change to $0 came afterwards so my order wasn't still pending delivery then.

When I ordered my MS the price of the "yacht floor" dropped after I confirmed. My delivery specialist credited me the price change.

Granted paying what I did for a piece of plastic on the floor felt like highway robbery either way so I'm sure they did ok... ;-)

Certainly appreciate your efforts. I was getting quite frustrated with the lack of traction and was seriously considering cancelling my order.
