Tesla Model S Constant High Pitched Buzzing Noise

Hello,

Here is a video of the noise:

This noise just happened this week end, when the car is parked, plugged or not. I am starting to worry.
Did someone experienced something similar?
If so, what did you do to fix it?
If you had to replace a part how much was it?

Reboot? Do you have possibility to check battery temperature by can bus reading? Take it out of the building

I just took it out for a ride and noticed an air noise like an opened window or something. I checked everything including opening and closing the vent roof and the air noise disappeared. I performed a reboot when I parked and now the car is super quiet again. Not sure what is was.

I had the same problem with my 2016 model 75 and the service center in Tempe ran a thermal test and found the fault. They replaced the flap system that was not opening properly which caused a whistle when the coolant system was on.

I have it as well but only when car charged at 100% (or close to it). Started happening about 6 weeks ago (about two releases ago). I've assumed something to do with thermal management when 100% battery charge. Dec 2014 Model S P85.

I have the same problem when the car is changed at 85% it makes that exact noise. sometimes when the ac fan is running do I need to make an appointment? because the service center is useless

Mine does this when i charge >90%, goes away once it's below that and doesn't do it when I daily charge to 90%.

This happened to me a lot too. Had Tesla replace my A/c and left condenser. Noise is reduced by 70%

I just experienced this issue too. 1st time in a while that I charged to 100% .
in the past, I would say before the car was capped and slow supercharging , I never had this happening.
MS June 2014. Temp in garage is ~15C

So, IOW, this is abnormal? Mine has been doing this for a long time, charging to about 80%. Is it a job for a Ranger? I don't wanna make the trip if they are gonna tell me it's in spec.

The most recent firmware turns on the coolant pump at a lower threshold SoC. I don’t like it at all and I’m afraid that this will prematurely wear out the pump outside of warranty.

I hear this noise (cooling pump?) from my wife's 2014 P85 constantly, but never from my 2015 P90D. Both are on 2020.4.1 and both are charged to 90% every night. If this is the new normal, why isn't it on both cars?

Batterygate failures and prefailures are unpredictable. All we know is they are terrified of temps getting high enough to burst but won't say it.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, just wanted to give credit where due, running the thermal test in service mode on my 2018 100D fixed the whine I was having.

All components checked OK and whine was gone.
