Tesla Model S Constant High Pitched Buzzing Noise

Sorry to resurrect this thread, just wanted to give credit where due, running the thermal test in service mode on my 2018 100D fixed the whine I was having. All components checked OK and whine was gone.

Rattle noise coming from front Air Suspension (2017-18)

From the repair facility's point of view they would rather give you a drop-in strut replacement than tighten a nut. The struts themselves aren't too expensive, even a marked up vendor sells the front and rear struts for $600

MPP now has rear subframe inserts:

I already have MPP front upper control arms, lower control arm bushings, compression rod bearings, rear spring arms, comfort adjustable coilovers, rear camber, trailing and traction arms on the car. For me the inserts were the latest addition to my car. Well, I changed wheels at the same time...

MPP now has rear subframe inserts:

I’ve had these inserts installed for a little over 400 miles There is a slight increase in NVH but it’s not major as MPP pointed out The best is when taking a corner and I don’t wonder where the rear wheels are anymore after turn-in! Coupled with the rear spring arms and rebound turned up a...

Socal to Vegas on Memorial Day

I did this trip just two days ago. San Gabriel Valley to Vegas and back. Yermo was packed by 11am but open-ish by noon. Agree, definitely leave early especially with the free charging, or arrive after. Let's say Yermo by 9am, Primm by 11am? You have the right idea with short charging hops.

Best Widest tires for M3 18" OEM Aero rims (2017-2020 version), and LA rim rash repair (255/40 18?)

This is a 255/40/18 Michelin PS4S on a 18x8.5 (TSportline) wheel 1. They’re the widest option. Not sure about best. 2. See above 3. I used a mobile rim repair service based out of Tustin, CA roughly $100 per wheel when I had these heavier rims

Yup to both. Not sure what your old suspension was like but I still have my OEM air shocks with less than 10k miles if you’re looking for a replacement
  21. E

    Performance Shocks

Yeah, I had that knocking from the front right suspension on the stock shocks. The new ones have been 100% silent I drove a loaner S 75D when I took the 100D in for FSD upgrade and I have to say after having gotten used to the Unplugged shocks my initial feeling was... how ordinary. I can't even...

    Performance Shocks

Yup, it’s still on my wife’s Model S. I do think with lowering brackets on low it was the best but have since raised the car to OEM-like heights and is much more responsive than the stock air.

MPP Comfort Non-adjustable+Eibach Sway Bar resulted in Jumpy/Bouncy drive

What are your sway bar settings? Stock end links? I know I can't tolerate more than front soft on my UP sway bar on my RWD. Getting the front sway bar on nearly made me regret the choice on my RWD because of all the weight it added. For the first time I had to switch to steering mode comfort...

    MPP Comfort Coilover reviews?

Haha, you might go back pretty soon. 10/8 was a noticeably stiffer ride for daily than 12/10 for me I can feel there’s more front sway (I have UP front and rear bars) with 12/10 as compared to 12/8 which I have it set to currently

    Michelin Pilot Sport EV Tires

    Wheel Configuration Mode

There’s a slight difference. On the 21” setting with UP links, OEM-like on low the height is 28.5” ground to fender all around. On the 19” setting there’s a little variation, 28,75” on the right, 28.5” on the left. I found out when I swapped wheels and reset the menu by accident. Not enough...

Noise issues with Unplugged Performance Mild Springs.

Spray to remove dirt, and move the isolaters down. The layer of grime that built up made it hard to tell what was isolator and what was dirt lol.

Noise issues with Unplugged Performance Mild Springs.

When I was on UP milds, I got the binding noise (had new springs replaced last winter). Cleaning the coils up once in a while reduced it but only to come back later.
