Percent of TSLA selling by shorts today: 65%

Meanwhile, in the Wall Street Psychiatric Clinic
"Nurse, I have Mr. Papafox on sedatives. Whatever you do, don't show him today's percent of selling chart. Otherwise, we'll never cure this manipulation obsession of his."

Posts about the number of students in a given state or school discussing climate change are missing the point.

That’s the equivalent of bemoaning the current price of TSLA. What matters is not the status quo but the direction of movement. If we can identify the trend, we can predict the future.

Here’s Greta just over a year ago.

Looking at the pics of tens and hundreds of thousands today, surely we can agree on direction of momentum.

It’s good for Earth, good for Tesla, good for TSLA.
Cheers
Looks like an advertisement for products made out of or with the help of oil. Can you name them all? Answer: everything. Correction: the rock holding down the petition looks like it may be a natural product.

Uhm what? The problem isn't with non-combustion use of oil for plastics, which makes up maybe 15% of crude oil demand.

The problem is the other 85% of oil that is burned up and emits CO₂ to further strengthen a way too strong, ~half human built heat mirror, which, together with the burning of coal, which has created an escalating, runaway process of global warming:

Lady's and gentleman I present you with one who cannot see the direction of momentum.

Unless you're talking about all the waste plastic in the ocean and landfills. Yes, it's not AGW causing, but it's still a big environmental problem.

FWIW, I freely admit that my habitual residences have been outside the US for most of my life. Bluntly, in most of teh more tahn a dozen countries in which i have lived I have been slightly right-of-center in political terms. In the US, land of my birth, I am seen as a raging quasi-socialist liberal. Of course I was born in California.:D

I've lived a year in Venezuela as a ten year old, but the rest in the U.S. (California since 1960). Also labelled as you here but always explained I would be considered middle of the road by West European standards.

So everyday there is more than 50% selling from shorts, how is this possible. Do they never have to cover. Ihor on twitter commented that there is still plenty of shares available to short.

Take notice of the 282K shares traded first minute of market trading, 481K shares traded final minute, and 81K shares traded at 4:54pm in a pre-arranged trade. The manipulations are being covered same day, but in transactions that don't affect the stock price.

Is there any Gov agency that look for these kind of things?/S

But for every buyer there is a seller and vice versa, who’s supplying these shares?

Why Ihor doesn't get is that the more than 50% shorts are trades that are initiated as short. They are not necessarily shorts that are added into the reported short interest. They can be short trades, by market makers, that are not real shares that are borrowed and delivered. They are "naked" shorted by market makers (ostensibly for the purpose of manipulating the shares). It's an absolute outrage, but it is what's happening. IMO.

All that said, InsideEVs estimates are not just "the only ones we have", but they've stood up quite well over time. Some here claimed they were way off in JAN/FEB this year, citing Alphahat's cell ping data which "proved" actual sales were 2x the InsideEVs estimate. But it was Alphahat that scurried off with their tail between their legs after Tesla's Q1 P&D report.
Even if we believed InsideEV numbers for Jan, Feb - we didn't know the EU delivery problems would be so bad. If they had managed to deliver 10k more in EU - TSLA would have never seen 180.

To read tea leaves ... here is what I'd consider.
- Tesla says they will deliver more in Q3 than in Q2
- Tesla has not made major efforts to increase demand in Q3 (infact removed double dipping on incentives)

This tells me they are confident of meeting the target deliveries.
