1, how many times does Elon have to say that Teslas WILL NOT have Starlink as you have to have a pizza box sized antenna mounted on the car? Every time someone brings it up he shoots it down, period.
2, stop having daydreams about getting Starlink / SpaceX shares for free. If it IPOs it will do so to get EXTRA capital into "Musk Enterprises" to fuel rapid growth, not to move $ around between his companies. He said he will try to do something for TSLA longs to get first dibs on the IPO, but never said anything about free shares.

1.Moore's law says size of starlink antenna will shrink over time. Also we have Cybertrucks and Semi's with larger surface area.
2.It ain't free. As a Tesla investor, part of the company belongs to me ;) (confirmed with Warren Buffet on this :) ) The $2B whether it sits as Free cash in account or whether it is used to purchase Starlink shares is the same. If Tesla buys Starlink he will have accomplished "will try to do something for TSLA longs to get first dibs on the IPO", bonus is he will also punish the shorts.

It's great when you can have your cake and eat it too
... 2 birds with one stone
... 4D chess

~ cheers (dreams can become reality )

Not so, Moore's Law says nothing regarding the physics involved in antenna size vs beam width vs frequency.

And... Ya canna change the laws of physics.

Lower-BB was 620.19 at the Open today. Any bets that's the wedgie target? Opening SP was about half-way between there and the MA(200).

Cheers!

Full range FWD only, and 0-60 in 7.5 sec, torsion beam suspension, only top trims will have xpilot.

Not a Tesla competition in any meaningful anyway, not even to the future 25k model. It would find its own market but mainly the lower end, if your budget is higher than 200k RMB, Model Y SR is a no brainer. (Unless you work for gov and just can not buy foreign brands)

I would expect 25k Tesla to be smaller in size but not being cheap to that level.

Elon said Tesla doesn’t build slow cars, that includes future models.
It always surprises me when people dismiss Chinese cars as 'lower end' or something analogous.
I am old enough to remember when Japanese cars were derided fro low quality, a short time later it was Korean cars, now it is Chinese.
Ploitics is another subject, which I will not discuss.
Tesla build quality and component quality is China is quite clearly better than is Fremont quality,
The Chery line has the highest consumer satisfaction and lowest defect ratings in Brazil. Of course those Cherys are built here, as are Hyundais, the #2. Both are built by the same company in Brazil.
Canadian Solar is now among the more higher regarded solar providers, a Chinese company despite the name.
In BEV production and technology and solar panels China is the world leader.

Of course, just as with Japan in the 1960's and Korea in the 1970's, people bleat about technology theft.
Industrial espionage has been around as long as industry has existed.

Tesla, pretty much alone in the auto business succeeds pretty much everywhere they go, just as Apple has done.

Bluntly, first mover complacency destroys innovation. Histrionics about any given political system as another subject, Tesla and Apple thrive despite impediments.
The impediments of duties and outright promotions plus creative approaches to bureaucracy simply act to reduce the need to be competitive. With Tesla we have little worries. No matter the impediments superior solutions do find a way to succeed. Just take a quick view of SpaceX for that perspective.

Regardless of political objections Chinese vehicles will continue to take greater share globally. Leadership in BEV's is already one way and in renewables another way.

Some gain of salt rumors to have fun with.

-Giga Berlin production starts in December
-Tesla's Tilburg factory is being repurposed for Tesla Energy
-in talks with other automakers making supercharger network universal in EU
-dealing with lawsuits from employees jumping ship from other automakers to Berlin Giga
-Texas may send 4680s to Berlin initially for Model Y ramp
-Texas is ahead of Berlin

Wow interesting - would be interesting to hear @avoigt ´s take especially on the law suits of legacy auto because of switching employees. Any chance of success? Doesn´t make sense to me, people can chose where they work for themselves, not?!

If true, this is an embarrassment and black eye for Germany. The Texas Gigafactory started much later and Texas is a larger Gigafactory than the Berlin one.

Though it makes sense since Tesla is now shipping Model Y's from China to Europe.

There is a reason (bureaucratic sclerosis) Europe is falling further and further behind the US and China in the tech space

MM’s driving TSLA to 620ish and the Lower BB before July 26 earnings would create an almost unchallenged 13% upside to the Upper BB at 700 before any steam is let off that move. Gotta give credit where credit is due - even if it is to the MM’s. Big Money that managed to collect any shares from weak Longs will make about 130 years worth of interest on that move at today’s money market savings rate 🙄
