I am equally confused, not because I doubt what Troy is saying, but because it doesn't seem to stack up with how factory production seems to be going.Thanks Troy. I appreciate the response and the work you do to understand production and delivery numbers.
Suffice it to say I simply don’t understand why we’d be down so much. China is down to Q4 ‘23, but up slightly YOY.
Lower sales in China, are not a surprise, many car markers are finding the Chinese market a lot tougher than Tesla.
I reasonably sure Model Y in Canada is now imported from China, previously it came from the US?
I don't know what impact the IRA is having on US Model Y sales.
If the Highland Model 3 ramp at Fremont was slow, that is a one-off occurrence, and it shows the wisdom of doing the retooling in Q1.
We will get the official numbers soon enough, and more importantly, if there is something to explain, we will get an explanation.
