Andrew

Nothings has been locked down yet... As soon as we have commitments then we'll post it here :)

Did you sign up for the Dinner?

Aaron

Not yet. I may have to choose one event to participate on Sunday due to family constraints. Trying to decide between the drive/pic and the dinner. Hence the speaker question.

Ok conviced, we make the crazy trip although we have almost no time :( We are coming from Tampa/Florida, not as much south as Brit4864 but almost the same distance as we are further west. Brit4864 I did send you a private message to maybe meet and drive up together. I will wait with the registration until we know the exact schedule of when we leave to better plan what we can attend. I assume if we arrive by 2PM at Glen Allan, that would be sufficient ? As the agenda states that it starts at 10am there I just want to make sure.

I am super excited to see so many Teslas together but am a little concerned with charging. I think we maybe need to do spreadsheet with all the stations to make sure everybody gets charged. Or are the majority locals ?

Joe

Joer00; I got your private message. I think making Glen Allen by 2pm from Savannah might be a tall order. Google maps shows about 7hrs. Add charging time stops enroute, probably more like 8 or 9hrs. I'd planned to arrive in DC by 6pm latest in time for cocktail hour

Hey Guys,

Have fun!

Please take some photos for us of your journey north, along with any tips of places to stay overnight, or not to stay.

Regards,

Larry

Florida attendees.....

Have you though (if your time permits) leaving Friday night to get a head start so you can possibly make the 2pm departure from the Glenn Allen, VA Supercharger?

We've got 28 people (including me) signed up for the Sunday night dinner so far... Not bad for almost 48 hours!

If you haven't signed up already, remember we have a deadline of Saturday at 10pm. Here's the link:

Look like we have about 70 Tesla's (cars) coming so far! This is getting exciting!

I don't know yet. That Friday is Feb 14th (Valantine's Day) and I know I'll be busy that morning delivering boxes of damn flowers lol (It's the same every year. People leave it to the last moment to send them). I don't know exactly when I'll be finished and able to start on the way up to DC. Probably around 2pm, if so, I should be able to make Savannah by Friday night. It's a bit of a tall order to make Glen Allen by 2pm Saturday from there I'd say. With two drivers it's a bit easier but with only one...

Larry: I plan to film the convoy going round DC from my car and taking pics of the event(s) as they happen.

Note for Supercharged travelers

Charging ambassadors have scouted 24 Level 2 public charging stations within two miles of the event hotel and the number of stations jumps to over 50 within five miles of the hotel. Access to many of these charging stations has been verified and their capabilities have been tested so they are ready for your use. Before you head to DC for the President’s Day activities, make sure that you are ready to charge by having access to the three most popular charging networks.

Chargepoint: https://na.chargepoint.com/register

Blink: https://www.blinknetwork.com/membership.html#page=1

Semacharge: https://www.semacharge.com/signup.php

You should also install PlugShare and the related charging networks' apps on your smartphone to help locate the nearest charging station and to get availability info.

PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY: Approximately 40 miles of local driving is anticipated on Sunday morning plus a 70 mile (round-trip) ride sharing excursion in the afternoon. Local event attendees are encouraged to complete charging at home to allow Supercharged travelers priority access to the charging stations.
