The Model S skateboard was used as prop in a an episode of Suits (S5E9). They are in the production facility of Mckernon Motors, a company that builds F1 style race cars. One of their race cars is seen a few seconds earlier... it is rather amusing that the skateboard so obviously isn't one of their cars. At least the company is "Motors" and not "Engines" lol. IIRC, in an earlier episode, this Mckernon company did mention something electric being the future, so perhaps the placement of the skateboard is actually a nice touch of continuity.

Oh, great catch! I didn't notice that in the episode since I generally don't look for the skateboard. I wonder how they convinced the local store in Canada to let them borrow their skateboard :D

Chelsea Does - the new documentary on Netflix by Chelsea Handler. Interior & exterior. Decent first two episodes made better by appearance of best car in the world.

Chelsea's assistant plugs and unplugs her Model S and before than refueled her Bentley.

She discussed on a talk show how one day she told her assistant she wanted to do normal people stuff again and go get some gas and pump it herself. Assistant had to remind her that the Model S is not a hybrid but an electric car.

Is that story in the documentary?

Is this the first appearance of a Tesla in a video game?

I happen to be a fan of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and play it when I have a little time to waste doing virtual road trips. In a week or so, the company that makes it will be introducing American Truck Simulator. It's sort of like the Model X of the video simulator game world. Something that's been talked about, teased and shown for the last year or two, but is finally now being introduced. This video is the first review of the finished product, and I was pleased to see that they have included a Tesla Model S (@ 0:23 seconds into the video) as one of the AI cars the player will see on the road and have to deal with in traffic. Check out the accent stripe they added along the side!

The Roadster and Model S have been in a couple other games. I believe they were all racing simulators, like Grand Turismo or some such.

Here you go, the Model S shows up in the E3 trailer twice at :33 and 1:15

Edit: Not that I am taking away from your awesome find! I would not have expected the car to show up in that game :D

Believe me, no offense taken. I'm kind of proud that I didn't know about some of Tesla's other appearances in fact. I'm not a big video game guy with ATS, ETS2, Flight Simulator and some (free) casino games being about the only ones that I enjoy.

Funny thing. I'm Turkish and been dying to see Tesla start its activity here for the past 3+ years. I even have a blog about Tesla and EVs in Turkey to inform people etc. Tesla still didn't start selling their cars in Turkey. Only way to have one is to go through a hefty importation process from the NL, in which you, the buyer, is the sole responsible for everything. From finding out which taxes to pay to fitting into regulations to arranging transportation to registration etc. Not something an average Joe could do in a heartbeat. Yet, the demand is so immense that there are 40+ active Model S' in Turkey.

Anyway, to get to my point, there's a new TV show that is set to begin in a Turkish channel and in that show the main character has a red Model S!! How?! You can watch the trailer below. I've e-mailed the producer to find out how and why but no reply yet. Certainly very interesting isn't it?

p.s. The thing is a beauty and sure looks great. Amazing to see so many people go through the risk of not having a service center in case of something going wrong. (Since Turkey is not EU you can't take it to the closes SC so easily, you have to prove through court you can't repair it in Turkey AND export it! So many rigid regulations and documents... Please Tesla, hear our voices and set up a SC as soon as possible.
