BTW those of you with model 3s. I heard from my delivery specialist while chatting with him/her one day, was that they are instructed by corporate to not really reach out or communicate with their model 3 clients until 2 weeks before delivery. They provide more up-to-date information to model S and X owners because of the price difference. At least that's what I was told. Apparently DSes that deal with model S and X owners have cell phones that they use to text/call just about any time, but the ones that help w/ model 3 purchases do not have them.

It sounds like they deal with about 150 purchases a week, per delivery specialist.

If that is the case, I wonder if that is why they seem to have gone dark? I'm not sure.

If you all are reporting early August though, that's within 2 weeks, so I'm really not sure. I hope they reach out to you all soon.

Has anyone in TX gotten an MVPA and/or taken delivery of a Model 3 recently? Seems there are a ton of us in "waiting for contract" limbo with no end in sight. I've been patient and level-headed so far, but getting quite frustrated that I finished my part of the "secure financing" step quickly (weeks ago) and now I literally can't pay them because they've got us in some unexplained holding pattern.

Update: Finally ready! After 10 days of waiting for Tesla to generate an MVPA my ISA called and said it's done. Went online and submitted payment via ACH and immediately called her back. Delivery scheduled for 8/17.

FYI as she was working out my delivery date she originally said the 9th, then said to herself "no, it won't even be there by then". The said the earliest available was the 14th. Just to give everyone an idea of shipping timelines for CA to TX.

Glad you finally have a date. If it makes you feel better, I was quoted 3 weeks, but ended up only taking 12 days. Picking up tomorrow!

Very happy for your big day today! I know you will be busy with your new toy but please post the review of your delivery experience!

I am one of the people waiting on the contract and ACH info. It has been one week since Ali said they have my M3 and to expect the contract “in 4 days”.

Just got back from the Delivery Center to pick up "3PO" (license plate coming soon). Overall, the delivery experience was 'fine'. It's funny because I actually knew more about the car than she did, probably because I'm on these forums everyday :p.

After hearing the stories about how rushed deliveries were, she actually spent quite a bit of time with me to go over the features. I was relieved to find that they were still including the diecast Model 3s hidden in the center console storage.

In saying that, I did find quite a few cosmetic issues. Some marks and paint overspray that should be buffed out. The weatherstripping on the rear doors stick out quite a bit, a minor mark/stain on the driver seat that doesn't appear to wipe off, but the most glaring issue I found was a long hairline scratch on the glass screen that even the delivery specialist was surprised about. It was deep enough that we could feel the scratch with our nails. She made the issues I mentioned and stated that the delivery center would be contacting me to set up an appointment to bring it in to have them addressed.

As long as these issues are going to be addressed, I'm not really angry at all. In fact, I was giggling the whole drive home. As promised, here is a picture of Model 3 as well a farewell picture I took of my beloved Subaru STI.

A bit off topic, but sad to report that mine (less than 800 miles) was backed into in a parking lot, likely with only minor damage.
Filed a claim against the other driver's insurance (web form - Geico) and now I wait until Monday to call around to body shops / etc.
Expecting the other driver to accept fault.

Let us know how well the body shops handle the repair and what the cost is. I fear the day our garage door jumps out and snags a fender! (When we finally get it, that is)

I was originally told Jul 10. Jul 2 @1700 got a phone call asking if I wanted to pick up next day. Fingers crossed the same happens for you.

Same here! So what happens with the FedEx delivery I'm supposed to receive 1 day before my scheduled delivery?

It will come with a bunch of papers with post it notes showing you where to sign. You sign where requested (and don't date it, as instructed) and then seal it up and bring it to your delivery. They cannot help you at delivery with any paperwork and it must be sealed in the envelope as legally the only thing they can do is drop it off in the mail for you.

If for some reason you receive the car before the paperwork, you can drop off the paperwork yourself in a Fedex drop box.

Ah, okay thanks @geoffreak. The way the email is worded makes it sound like you can't take delivery unless you have the paperwork with you.

I never asked for it, the delivery center just contacted me out of the blue yesterday that it arrived early and if I wanted to move up the pickup date. I'm guessing they're just giving themselves a little of a buffer in the hopes of under-promising/over-delivering, which is better I feel :)

Definitely did luck out. Stopped by Pond Springs as I was in the area and my M3 is still awaiting to be loaded on to a truck in Richmond, VA. Associate told me there's a decent chance it'll be late from the original Aug 6th estimate...

At least he was honest with me and responsive. All I can ask for at this point.

From VA? Wow, didn't think they'd ship them well past TX then back here.
