The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

I've previously ran 265/35r19 RT660s on my 19x9" +30 with no issues in autox, although it was a little more pinched than an RE71R on the same wheel (which sits pretty square). However, I was thinking about trying RT660s in 275/30 or 275/35 on the next set, obviously these will be very pinched but curious if anyone has tried it?

Here's our wider wheel setup from Aspira Forged AF-10. These were designed and load rated for the model 3. They've been getting put through their paces by our buddies as seen below.

ALL MPP rotors or BBK

@mcbarnet007 18x10.5 with a 3-5mm spacer iirc along with some upright and fender mod. Sporting A052 295/35/18. No spacer in rear.

@TacoSteve running 18x10.5 with 5mm slip on spacers up front. Upright and fender mod. No spacer or fender mods in the rear.
- Nexen Sur4G 275/40/18 which seem to run wide. As wide as my Falken 510 295's.

AF10 Tesla Corsa 20-5243.jpg

@izetm3 on IG also sporting the same setup but with Goodyear Supercar 3 275/40/18

AF10 Isaac (25 of 35).jpg

Now for the AP BBK setups.

@m_c_li on IG running the same setup with 275/40 Nexens but did a 10mm spacer, fender mod and upright mod an AP BBK.

AF10 Tesla Corsa 20-5276.jpg

Then below is a Falken 510 street tire in a 295/30/19 on a 19x10.5 but with AP BBK. I ran a small 5mm spacer up front to clear my upright and no spacer in the rear. No fender or upright mods. MPP no shim gang for the whole crew. The goal is to test out 305's as well in a RT660 with spacers to suit up front.

Seems actual width for the RE71R in 265/35/19 is 10.67”, 265 RT660 is 10.9” and 275 RT660 is 11.2”. The 275/35/19 RE71R had 10.9 listed in its specs. If I am doing math right it would be 13.42mm wider in total or 6.71mm on a single side to go to the 275 660. This is my current clearance on 265/35/19 RE on 19x10 +35 with no spacer. Not sure if I will be able to get away with it on a 5mm spacer. I wasn’t planning on getting into changing studs out this year.

Looks like 10-spoke copy of 12-spoke UP-03 UP-03 RACE SPEC WHEEL PACKAGE FOR TESLA MODEL 3 AND TESLA MODEL Y - Unplugged Performance

I disagree and hope the images below can help you see better. I can't find a single area that is the same other than the fact that it's a multi-spoke wheel. Take a closer look and see if you can find the various Japanese wheel inspirations for this design. I think it stems from a couple of them.

Yes, I see, not a copy, just inspired by.

But I like how those details done on UP. And I doubt they compete for the same customer with such a price difference anyway.

The inspiration was not from UP. It was from Volk Racing and SSR. You are correct I'm sure the demographic would be far different. The objective of this is to bring about an affordable forged wheel for motorsports.

I'm not too worried to be honest. I ran 295 A052's last year. The tread width on these is only .3" more.
Cool. What wheel size/ET are you gonna run? When I compared 295/35/18 to 305/30/19 I saw the data below but not sure if you ran 295/35/19 A052. I just remember that the 305 3R's seemed wider than was published. It tripped me out when I went to his house and saw them side by side the AR1's.

according to tirerack
295/35/18 A052 = 10.5" tread / 11.8" section
305/30/19 3R = 11.3" tread / 12.3" section

Weird - Tire Rack is showing 11" tread on the 295/35/18 A052's for me. The section width certainly seems to be considerably larger just putting them side by side.

Wheels are MW03's in 19x10.5 ET25. Guessing I will need 3mm spacers up front.

I have a feeling that 3mm won't be enough. But keep us informed. I never heard that anyone was able to fit 305 in front without arm grinding and custom fenders. For me 295 a052 was looking like a limit already.

You're right, it's 11" tread. I must have got my signals crossed and looked at the "wheel width" used. BTW our friend did end up grinding his spindle and pull his fenders a bit.

Assuming stock suspension. You'll want to zip tie the abs wire, and you might want a 5mm spacer. SUR4G's in 275/35 fit fine but the 275/35 Rivals were not fine.
