21" wheels no longer standard (or even an option!) with the P85. Only P85+.

I seem to be able to option a P85 (even a 60 for that matter) with 21" wheels.

Even the performance seats are no longer standard on the P85, but you can also now get the them on any Tesla.

Yea, there's lots of ala carte options now. You can even get the pref seats in a non perf model now. Carbon fiber interior is available to everyone now, too.

Should I be sad that my car don't have all these options, or happy that the car I got with all the available options back in December was $15'000 less than the one I would want with all the available options now? :redface:

The EU cars already have all the options; what more do you expect?

Our friends in the US should also be able to get the same options as we do.
Options should not be limited to customers living in a certain continent, right?

No. The reason they must be factory installed is that they put in additional crash protection for the rear seats. Stuff you can't see!

Yep this was already discussed months ago - the cost of the rear seats includes additional internal reinforcing for the rear bumper to protect the two occupants from injuries should the Model S be hit from behind.

I'm aware of why the rear facing seats must be factory installed. I'm pointing out that the rest of the options (like parking sensors), do NOT say "must be factory installed".
