How about iPhone to Tesla playing via USB data, what format and bits per second? Assuming Apple music library directly on the phone or downloaded music in Tidal.

There is currently no way (without adding additional custom hardware) to run a phone via USB (charge, yes; data, no). The only way to get music from the phone to the Tesla is over the substandard Bluetooth.
I don't know if it has changed, but the last I heard, there is no USB driver to play the FILES from your iPhone (as if it were a "hard drive"). Nor could you run a wired adaptor to use it as an audio signal as there is no audio line input. I believe the only way to play music off if your iPhone (or Android) is via Bluetooth.
Maybe something has changed that I have not heard about?
Also, if you have synced music to your iPhone via iTunes, even if it is "lossless" in your iTunes library, it still gets compressed when it is transferred to your phone.
