On our trip back from St. Michaels to Long Island, I decided to take some local streets across Staten Island to bypass bumper-to-bumper traffic on 678. All went well, except we got a flat. The good part was that we had the Tesla Tire Repair Kit on board and it worked fantastic. We were back up and going in 10 minutes and with the tire actually inflated to the proper inflation psi.

That was over a week ago and the tire is holding air, without a slow leak. Do I need to service the tire? I would imagine so, as whatever it was that caused the flat is still there. Anyone go through this?

I haven't had the misfortune to get a flat tire. Nevertheless, I'm pleased to hear that the sealant works.

Everything I read indicates you need to get the tire repaired. If you don't get it repaired, and get another flat in that tire, then what?

You need to service the tire. It is a temporary fix. With the amount of flexure these tires can go through. Hitting the right bump, or acceleration could cause it to leak again. You should be able to buy another can of fix a flat and put into your tire repair kit.

Does Tesla sell the tire repair kit? After you use the kit is it a problem removing:crying: the material they use to seal the puncture from your rims?
