Why your P85D is schedule for delivery in early January? I thought it's either December or Feburary.

Got my GoPro mounted. Should have some decent videos on the way when I get some time to edit and clip these together. Here's a quick launch on an on ramp.
Why isn't Tesla scaling up right now? What is the slowest part about the assembly line or where or what is the bottleneck? Are they still supply limited by an item? How are they ever going to turn the line up to 1 car a minute? How about when Model X starts and dilutes or reduces Model S output? Or is it on a totally separate line?
I asked Tesla to provide the next gen seats free of charge due to the hassles I've faced with the delivery of my P85 and P85D and they declined. So I've cancelled my order. Don't let Tesla cram an incomplete car down your throat. Tell them you don't want it until the seats are ready. If enough people do this, those seats will get done in a hurry. I don't have time to waste making up for Tesla's mistakes. Every visit to the dealer wastes 2 hours and I've probably been in 15 times in my 2 years. As much as it saddens me to not have the P85D, at least I can buy a BMW or Audi that has decent build quality and a service operation that doesn't completely suck. And you can bet they are cutting quality corners cranking these out before the end of the year. Just like 2012.
How on earth did you get a P85D in brown? I have a brown P85 and wanted my P85D to be brown also. I even sendt Jerome a mail begging for a solution that would help me get me this. Sadly he answered this: Thank you for your message and your order for another Model S: we appreciate your continued support!YESSS. Finally out of the hole!

We have stopped taking 2015 orders for the brown color in early October. Additionally, we have asked all customers who had selected brown for a 2015 delivery to select another color. We are discontinuing the brown paint in our manufacturing system in a few days, so I am afraid we will not be able to accommodate your request. This is also a matter of fairness to all other customers.
Thank you again for your support and your understanding. Best regards,
Jerome Guillen I VP, WW sales and service
Congrats, absolutely love the brown! Haven't ordered one and a little bummed out that I won't be able to get brown if/when the time comes. Enjoy, I'm sure it's the last thing on your mind, but PM me if you're ever selling, I'm local.
Well, now it is looking highly unlikely that I will pick up my car tomorrow. Tesla sent me paperwork today to pay for my car today at 11:00. My pickup was scheduled for tomorrow at 2:00pm. I elected for an electronic payment as it is easiest - I am paying cash.

At 6:00 pm I receive another email from tesla stating that electronic payments need to be completed 3 days prior. REALLY? Now you tell me when the banks are closed?

Isn't this what the delivery specialist is for? To make sure the transaction happens properly and on time? My specialist is absolutely useless. Has never informed me of something I didn't already know from another channel and has done absolutely NOTHING to make this transaction easier.

Frustrated. And other than posting this, what can I do? Absolutely nothing. These guys - unfortunately - are still amateurs.
The other cool thing about my delivery was today is that none other than Barry Bonds was there to pick up his P85D too! Say what you want about him, but being a lifelong Giants fan it was pretty crazy to see him there at the factory. Unfortunately he didn't do the tour with us and I never had a chance say hello to him or to ask for a picture. I won't divulge his car's colors here in order to protect the Home Run King's privacy .

I was in Mt. Kisco this morning and saw your car. That's my Benz parked next to your car that I was trading in before picking up the rental Tesla is providing for me. Sam and Peter were great and talking about getting your car to Ithaca tomorrow. Went for a test ride with Peter and am still in awe of the power of the D! My son is still giddy from the experience. Sam walked me through everything I need to know before picking up the car on Tuesday and even showed me where the transporter was in Tennessee!
Your car is in great hands and I'm sure you'll have a very wide Tesla grin tomorrow!

Wow. A Model S with the same seats Tesla has installed in tens of thousands of cars is "incomplete"? And despite multiple posts from new P85D owners saying the build quality is excellent and extremely positive reviews of the car you are canceling your order and buying an ICE even though Tesla will install the Next Generation seats in a few months.
