feel free to correct if necessary. but if i remember correctly through my research and travels....

P production to delivery in NY metro area seemed to be about 4 weeks. was for my friends about a month ago, and seems to be case with me. also some others on various P delivery threads.

it’s hard for me to gauge SR and AWD bc ive known people to get them at varying times (and weve seen lately the reasons why this is)

to reply to a question earlier..
both RD and AWD were being done ga2
only the P version on AWD was being competed in sprung ga4
this was as of ~ a month ago, possible it changed

would love an update, and any intel on ga3

i think there’s more Ps than i originally estimated. at roughly 1k per week, which is high, but round, estimate...they finally switched to black interior (en masse) only in the last few weeks (roughly mid august). again just US during that time, but now mixing in some Can...
so it’s not crazy to estimate that it would seemingly take a few months to deliver 15k Ps in north america. we’re almost half way through that now.

AWD not exactly a leak... elon said that roughly 1/2 orders were AWD on a conf call. believe it was q2 call about a month and a half ago.

the most successful JR podcast in a matter of a few days. not bad marketing, huh?
anyone have any stats to see how it stacks up against other popular www/podcast/or otherwise such interviews ???

guillen, good!

communications...
yes, agreed one hand isn’t exactly on point with the other...this needs to be remedied faster. the delivery specialist has all the necessary tools to tell the customer everything, but they are the hardest to get in touch with. they can “wake” the car to find out where it is, on the back of a truck on way to rail yard, on the train in en route to birmingham AL, at the holding lot, wherever..

some of that wouldn’t be terrible for the customer to just be allowed to see in some way. i mean, i don’t know how much...but any level of detail is better than just NOT knowing. anything that allows for answering questions otherwise asked with multiple calls/emails

As of now, having just purchased more shares at $280 (other recent buys were in the low $260s, the ~$310 range, and in the $330s), we now own more TSLA than ever before. My personal sentiment on the company reached a nadir and I sold a number of shares at around $350 because of my disappointment that Elon Musk was prepared to actively rely on the Saudis for major backing in going private. But that's off the table now, the fundamentals are improving, I'm excited about Jerome Guillen's promotion likely easing the burden on Elon, and I'm willing to accept both the good and bad sides of Elon's creative genius and his propensity to ignore conventions and ruffle feathers.

Is it just me, or is the stock price remarkably stable today?

It's almost like the circuit breaker preventing shorts from doing anything to the stock price does interesting things to the stock price behavior (although, it's interesting that it's just trading sideways around $280, and not climbing).

Shorts have to set limit orders (for sell to open) above the current bid price. This will act as a cap on the price. So they can't push it down, but they can prevent it shooting up...

Can we all stop feeding the FUD that Elon smokes Blunts? He has no idea WTF he is doing when it comes to smoking anything.

The funny thing was that he didn't even seem to know what a blunt is. ;) Kept calling it a joint.

Musk: "So is that a joint? (beat) "Or is it a cigar?"
Joe: "It's marijuana inside of a tobacco..."
Musk: "So it's like posh pot, tobacco-pot..?"

I nonetheless expect to have to correct the "Musk is a pothead" meme for the next several years for all of the people who never watched the video.

To my understanding, Fremont is capped at 500 000 and China factory is not yet producing 2020.
If I remember right that's just the high number from back in the heyday. I think it's safe to assume Tesla can get quite a bit more capacity out of it than that, plus they could have lines going in Nevada, New York, China, Europe by then. It took 3 weeks to setup the tent line in Fremont and I believe in a conference call or maybe upthread? they mentioned sending it, or others to China.
