That's my interpretation too. Some thing are quite easy to see, such as the large charge port door, allowing for GB/T (and maybe hopefully CCS) without taking out a piece of the side of the car with a hack saw...

As well as the firewall already being setup for LHD/RHD.

My interpretation is that a lot of these things are baked into the Model 3. GB/T can go on the opposite tail lamp flap instead of needing a new body stamping, for example. We already know that all the hardware for the dual motor cars is included in the currently shipping single motor models. Dashboard is symmetrical as opposed to S/X. Etc etc.

Thanks all. I expect this is good on balance, though perhaps there are some tradeoffs in weight and cost.

Not sure how the 25% margin delay until the middle of next year is going to be seen by the market, as the margin goal for the end of this year is now probably a bit less than 20%. On the other hand, they are projecting margins to rise above 25% towards the end of next year.

agreed! Much better news than expected. Only thing that could have been better was if Elon said they are producing 5k M3's now. CAP EX was much better than expected, bottle necks worked out, etc...
