Uber voucher gets cancelled when car marked ready for pickup??

Has anyone encountered this policy??? It seems incredibly stupid.

I went to pick up my car from the service center just now, and my Uber voucher had been cancelled. My car was in service for less than 24 hours. I called the service center and was told that the voucher automatically gets cancelled when the car is marked ready for pickup. Does this policy make sense to anyone??? What is the point of an Uber credit if I can’t use it to get back to the service center? I was also told when I dropped my car off that it was valid for 48 hours.

They were able to call for a ride on my behalf, but I still feel the need to vent.

Yep, stupid.
I had a car at service, car was marked ready for pickup. I was happy until realized - voucher cancelled and I'm with no car 50 miles away.
So, I paid for uber, and they promised to send me a check to reimburse ride.

odd, my voucher was good until i picked up the car.. and was able to use it to get an uber back to the SC
